Abstract

A self- experiment to explore by foot and camera with a Finnish nature reserve So by means of physical experience and from the photographic practice, as well as the simultaneous observation of their own Seh u. Photographing the basic conditions of a "photographic perception" to explore.
As an object, the notebook combines the resulting photographs and texts into a chronological narrative reminiscent of the structure of a seismogram: while the texts in protocol and personal tone record a constant process of perception and reflection, literally describing the way to the images the individual images, therefore, like the sharp eruptions of the seismogram during a violent shaking - they manifest the photographic moment, which in the seriality of its appearance and the repetition of the motif (paths, trees, views) almost itself in question. Text and image, in interaction, thus document the initiated process as well as the development of concepts or theorems,
The act of leafing through the block as well as the format of the block allow the readers and viewers an intimate insight into the experienced process of perception. At the same time, the physical and temporal aspects of the method used and the associated concept formation, which can best be described by the term "processing", can be understood in the consideration and also on a physical level. This fictitious yet factual study approaches the act of photographing as a socio-cultural habitus and cultural technique from the perspective of a photographic researcher and can also be read as an exploration of the nature and conditions of artistic research and knowledge production.

"As an artist who is researching photography and photographing research, I am interested in photography as a tool of knowledge production and in the aesthetics of scientific imagery.
By availing myself of these rather sober image language and aesthetics, I try to provoke, to emphasize and to integrate their potential rate of error in my working process in order to turn these errors into a poetical moment which eludes itself of any proof of evidence that would be usually associated with scientific imagery. A theme that constantly (re-)appears in this relation is the manifold connections and interferences between men and nature, nature as a constructed term, as an abstract thought and as a reality, as the thing we don't understand and try to grasp by intelligence."
